Kong Dog Toys
If you own a puppy or dog you’ve probably already heard about the Kong but let me explain why I believe they are the best of the dog toy world…
1) They promote healthy chewing behavior
As the owner of a puppy you want to encourage good chewing behaviors and teach your dog what they can, and can’t chew on. The Kong dog toys are perfect in helping you accomplish just that. They are made with a rubber that not only soothes your dogs gums while they are teething, but also cleans your dogs teeth and helps to prevent plaque build up.
2) They are nearly indestructible
Unlike most other chew toys, Kong dog toys last. We started with the puppy Kong for our dogs and eventually we did have to replace it, but not because it had been destroyed; our dogs simply outgrew it, and we purchased a larger size. HINT: Don’t leave them out side in freezing weather though… they crack.
3) You can fill them with treats
Kong dog toys have a cavity that you can put your dogs favorite treats in. This not only helps to get your dog interested in playing with the toy, but it also keeps them entertained. You can put kibble inside, pieces of bacon strips, and if you want to keep your dog occupied for long periods of time, fill it with peanut butter. It’s like having a babysitter:)
