Today, when I was giving my chihuahua mix 7 month old puppy a bath, I noticed some small red spots on his neck where his collar used to be. There is visible baldness around the throat area from where the collar used to be, and several small pink spots as well. It doesn’t seem to be bothering him, since he’s not constantly itching it.

I only take off his collar when we give him a bath, which is like once every couple days or so. I heard that chihuahuas tend to clean themselves and need the oil on their coats to keep it nice and glossy, so I don’t give him a shower very often.

I was just wondering if the bald spot and pink dots were just a mild rash from leaving his collar on, or something much more serious such as ringworm, etc.
