The First Night
Oh, little Duke’s first night…what an adventure. What everyone says is absolutely true, it was a sleepless night. Duke would whine…Aaron or I would go to his crate and grab him for a quick snuggle, then put him back. A few minutes would pass and just when my heavy eyes would fall, little Duke would whine again and the whole process would start over. Aaron and I slept out in the living room with him, thinking it would ease his mind if he could see us but obviously we were strangers to him so it didn’t help.
We bought him a little stuffed toy that had a pouch inside that you microwave…apparently that is supposed to ease his transition from his litter mates. He did lay on the toy (which we think is great and have nicknamed his baby) but even the warmth didn’t calm him. I tried to snuggle with him on the floor but he would just chew on my hair and explore the living room. First nights are tough!
Next step was to go to the pet store and buy a new crate and some more snuggly toys. We think his crate may be too big (it does not have a divider that will grow with your puppy) so we wonder if the large space makes him feel unsafe. We’ll see…

I love Duke!!! I want a Duke. Do you think the kitties would get along with him?!?!?!!
Hi, my name is Andrea and my Puggles name is Jack. He’s now 6months old and my roomate has two cats. He LOVES them. He like to play with them and lay with them and just be sweet. I MUST say, he enjoys them FAR more than they enjoy him.
Puggles are amazing, what an absolute joy he is.
I am so excited about my new puggle who is coming home in two weeks!
Well we just got our Puggle on Saturday. She is 8 weeks old and for the most part potty training is going great. When we are ready for bed we play with her for about 15 minutes and then we take her to bed and put her in her kennel, and she whine alittle, but then she sleep for about 6 hours,so she is adjusting nicely.. we love our Puggle Lulu..
